We need YOUR help to keep the server alive!

Hi everyone! This post will be in English so that as many people as possible can have their say.

So, the first week after the opening of our new Exile server was a success. Even with constant server crashes and a few other minor problems, people still kept playing, but now over the last few days, the activity has gone down, and it is partly to blame on the server crashes we had, as people lost patience, but now that problem has been fixed, and so we finally have a stable server. BUT, that does not help us to find and bring in new players and at the moment the admin team are in a dialog discussing what to do to attract more players, AND so we need your help!

What would you have us change, implement and or do to make the server more attractive to new players, what would make your friends want to join?

A few suggestions we would like your opinion on: but please tell us your own ideas and suggestions!

- More items

- More traders

- More missions

- More Admins

- Remove night time all together

- More events

- More inspawned vehicles

- ?

Please give us your opinion, and help us keep the server active.

More traders: no need

More items: no need, well maby more cars

missions: Bigger rewards

night time all together: Plz keep it. not as it, is but less

More Admins: I been bf.no admin before. I can step up and be one agine if you need me

- More items: Might be fun, but not needed

- More traders: Not needed.

- More missions: Yes. But as DSJ says; bigger rewards. Right now you get more stuff from looting or PVPing. Cap points maybe?

- More Admins: Current admins are doing a good job, and are usually close if needed.

- Remove night time all together: Some nighttime is fun.

- More events: Yes.

- More inspawned vehicles: Maybe some cars, but we do have bikes and cheap cars at the traders.

- Bigger mission rewards. (Important!)

- More airplanes. (Maybe camels from ArmA2?)

- Nighttime is fine as it is atm.

- Add more civilian vehicles, preferably fast ones.

- More inspawned vehicles.

Aha, jeg letet overalt der inne. Fant den nå, under den generelle Arma 3-tråden, så du har helt rett. Men den var godt gjemt

Syns ting generelt fungerer veldig bra på serveren.

Tror en navneendring på servern hadde hjulpet med tanke på det som skjedde under oppstarten med crashes etc. Og ikke minst få utelatt .no fra servernavnet. Tror dette kan tiltrekke seg en hel del spillere.

Og kanskje en prisjustering på armed vehicles & M2 hummer. Stort sett den typen kjøretøy man møter når det går så fort som det gjør å farme cash. En strider burde være som en vodnik var back in the day :)

No need, still can't fit everything I find in my pack

- More traders

No need for more "normal" traders. Don't know if it's possible, but some kind of roaming trader with extra low prices or some hard to acquire weapons/goods, or that combined. I imagine this "travelling merchant", let's call him "Thom", driving around with a truck/random vehicle between some random towns (where he'll stay for a while), searching for loot as everybody else (will remain stationary however to be able to interact), but also have trading. Thom's location won't be announced anywhere so finding him can be tricky thus the good prices or goods. Thom is however out of a safe zone and can be killed for some minor loot (and the truck/vehicle) and a MAJOR respect loss (as Thom is the Mafia's little hoarder of trade supplies (T.H.O.M./Travelling Hoarder Of Mafia)). This would add a new layer as now if you see someone driving around it's a player and you don't investigate, now you might end up following the vehicle in hopes of a good deal. This will also mean that you'll think twice before unleashing a hailstorm of bullets upon a vehicle on the road (I usually end up in the receiving end).

- More missions

More different missions would be nice I think. Also "hidden missions" or objectives would be a very nice addition if it's possible. Like roaming AI or a plane/helicopter crash site, shipwrecks along the coast, car crashes around the roads, all this with or without survivors, possible friendly or aggressive.

- More Admins

Haven't experienced yet that the crew now would be insufficient.

- Remove night time all together

No, night must stay. However the times can be altered a bit, like day 70%, dusk/dawn 25% and really pitch black night 5%.

- More events

Events as in admin arranged competitions or just events happening ingame at random? For the first no need at this state, admin can probably spend the time doing better things than trying to amuse players. Regarding ingame events see Thom and "hidden missions".

- More inspawned vehicles

Yes, there is a more indirect aspect to this too. Now when you see a vehicle it's almost always locked, meaning it's a person who left it there. If there would be more inspawned vehicles you won't automatically assume that it's a player's property and go inspect.

I got some more ideas, or more detailed descriptions to the ones already mentioned, but at work now so must do something "productive" also :p

PS: You can write in Norwegian too as I'm a Finn (hope that didn't twist anyone's mind too much)

Skriv en lengre artikkel, putt inn videoer fra serveren hvordan installere moddene hva dere gjør på serveren hvor gøy det er osv. så kan jeg få kontaktet et par sider for å få artikkelen postet.. Bare skriv en god artikkel så blir det sikkert ikke så vanskelig.

Du er jo i redaksjonen Ice :)

95% av spillerne bruker A3Launcher, da trenger man egentlig ingen lang guide på hvordan man installerer.

Man bare følger de få instruksene det er og da blir alt lastet ned automatisk. Du kan godt lage en guide på det dog, sikkert noen som trenger det.

Min personlige mening er at tilgangen på våpen er veldig høy.

Jeg ser ingen annen mening med oppdrag annet enn å få "respect"

Hadde det vært slik at de "beste" våpnene i spillet ikke var tilgjengelig hos traders, men var noe du måtte gjøre missions for å få tak på. Det gir oss noe mer å jobbe for. Jeg føler at jeg bare kan spawne, sykle til traders og kjøpe alt det beste utstyret.

Om ikke kan kjøp prisen på våpen høynes betydelig, gjør det litt vanskeligere og få "high end" våpen og utstyr. Kjøretøy også, la det være noe folk må jobbe for å få råd til. Jeg spilte en dag sammen med en venn, jeg har 2 helikoptre, 1 bil og mener selv at jeg har meget godt gear. For lett for min del. hva tenker dere?

The Battlefield er veldig basert og satt opp etter våre erfaringer på andre store og populære servere, og Exile er jo en veldig PVP basert mod, hvor flertallet for tiden krever lett tilgjengelige våpen og enkle løsninger, og akkurat nå syns vi at vi har funnet en fin balanse på The Battlefield. MEN vi er absolutt ikke fremmed for endringer i framtiden, men akkurat nå er prio 1, å skape en stabil server med en stabil spillmasse. Håper ikke jeg skremte deg bort fra å kommer med ideer, for det håper eg du fortsetter med :)
